I've spent my career on small teams getting my hands dirty: first in public accounting and banking, then nearly a decade inside VC-backed technology companies. At Shipt, I joined during the growth years and stayed through the Target acquisition. At Flatfile, I brought accounting in-house, supported a $50 million Series B, and owned the close, board reporting, billing, forecasting, equity, and tax coordination. That range is why I like early-stage work. The accounting, systems, and operating decisions are still connected, and a small change in one place can save hours every month somewhere else. I've led four ERP implementations and rebuilt several billing and spend systems, so I'm comfortable with both the plumbing and the numbers. I'm based in Birmingham, Alabama. I started High Signal to give founders the kind of finance ownership I valued on the inside: direct, hands-on, and close enough to the business to be useful.
